Michael Fairweather, Director of Inspirador Agave Spirits. Inspirador is Thailand's specialist in premium Mexican agave spirits: tequila, mezcal, raicilla and beyond. Every bottle in its collection is hand-selected directly from producers in Mexico, many of them small, family-run distilleries that rarely leave their home regions. Today Inspirador supplies Bangkok's leading bars, restaurants, hotels and clubs, and runs the only agave spirits retail store and tasting room in Asia, on Sukhumvit Soi 22, with the largest selection of agave spirits in Thailand. Inspirador doesn't just sell agave spirits; it teaches them. Its training programs help hospitality teams and consumers understand what makes a great tequila or mezcal, from the agave field to the glass. Michael spends much of his year in Mexico's distilleries and agave fields in Jalisco, Michoacán and Oaxaca, building direct relationships with the master distillers behind the spirits he brings to Thailand.
